Getting the Love You Want
A Weekend Workshop for Couples
This workshop for couples offers a perspective and set of tools to enhance and deepen your committed relationship. The basis for this workshop rises out of Imago Theory developed by Drs. Harville Hendrix and Helen Hunt and is comparable to 3 to 6 months of weekly therapy sessions in cognitive and experiential learning. It is not a quick fix; however, it is a realistic understanding of the means to a safe and passionate relationship.
Understand the theory behind why you chose each other as partners in a long-term committed relationship; why it is that you will inevitably trigger each other's best and worst selves; and, find out what you can do, in fact need to do, in order to deepen your relationship!
The workshop is designed to provide the safety needed to enable you to fully focus on your partner, yourself and your relationship.
The workshop is appropriate for you if:
It is early in your relationship and you would like to establish a solid foundation and healthy communication patterns
You want to enrich or deepen a good relationship
Your long term relationship is lacking energy, passion and a sense of connection
Your relationship is struggling and you want to see if it can be improved.
The workshop format includes:
Short lectures
Individual reflection and written work
Guided Imagery
Live demonstrations of communication skills and processes
Time to practice new behaviors and skills with your partner
Fun and nurturing activities
This workshop is designed to protect the integrity of your relationship. You work privately with your partner in a safe, comfortable and confidential manner. While you are given opportunity to share your experience, you are never required to do so.
This workshop is relationship education, not therapy.
The goals of the workshop are:
To provide a conceptual understanding of committed love relationships.
To develop new communication skills that break destructive cycles of relating.
To shift couples from blame to cooperation.
To develop constructive ways to express anger and resolve conflict.
To facilitate the healing process and renew passion and pleasure in your relationship.

The workshop costs $5,500 per couple and includes manuals, handouts, tuition and refreshments. Former workshop participants may review the workshop for $3,200.

Keeping the Love You Find
A Workshop for Individuals and Singles
This workshop offers individuals and singles a chance to uncover the forces at work which have resulted in a pattern of heartbreak and disappointment. Once uncovered, participants develop skills to overcome obstacles to achieving the connection they long for. Discover the positive changes you can make in your life to achieve the lasting love you seek. This workshop is based on the book, Keeping the Love You Find, by Harville Hendrix, PhD.

If you are divorced, and struggling to discover “what went wrong” and“ what can I learn from my past”
If you are widowed, and searching to “begin again” but are not sure how to be in another relationship.
You have completed the Getting The Love You Want workshop and wish to pursue some in-depth personal growth work
The workshop format includes: lectures and guided imagery exercises. There will be written exercises and opportunities to learn new skills in communicating with others. A high degree of confidentiality and safety is maintained throughout the workshop.

Break from those patterns (both good and bad) in your parent's marriage that you have unknowingly internalized as your only acceptable relationship mode.
Recognize the "wounded Child" syndrome that may make you place unrealistic expectations on your partner without ever realizing it.
Learn and benefit from every past relationship.
Achieve the mature, nurishing and enduring love that can immeasurably enrich your life!

Overcoming Obstacles to Connection
An 8-Week Relationship Course for Couples and Individuals
We are created in connection, wounded in disconnection
and healed in reconnection.
As a committed couple, regardless of whether you have been together for a few months or many years, you can begin the conscious process of transforming negative interactions into opportunities for connection and wholeness, the purpose for which your relationship was intended.
As an individual, you are in an excellent position to begin to prepare for an intimate, committed relationship. Using information gained from past relationships, you can begin the growth process now and reap the benefits in your next relationship! The group process offers you the support and partnership necessary to work towards growth in relationship.
The concepts that enable couples to transform their relationship also serve to help individuals prepare for a satisfying, long-term, intimate relationship.

Parenting through Connection instead of Coercion,
Through Love instead of Fear
The greatest emotional need of every child is to bond securely to at least one other human being. Our most important task as parents, therefore, is to secure and maintain a healthy, strong parent-child bond. Maintaining connection is the key to loving, effective parenting and to our children’s optimal human development.
The level of cooperation parents get from their children is usually equal to the level of connection children feel with their parents.
Parents are always doing the best they can with the information, resources, and support they have at any given moment. When we know more, we can do better.
It is never too late to create a stronger connection with your children.
Join me and other parents in becoming a conscious parent.
